Changing Perspective

How often do you feel stuck, lacking motivation to make a change?   You are resentful about your circumstances and don’t know what to do to change them.  More importantly, you are full of fear.  Fear of change holds you back.  You feel immobile and terrified to follow your dreams because you don’t know where to start.

It is time to change your perspective.  Don’t be bitter- be better.  I had a softball coach in junior high and high school who had a saying he used constantly.  Every time someone made an error or small mistake, she would often apologize.  We are taught to apologize for every single reason.  I apologize to tables when I bump into them, for Heaven's sake!  The coach would say “Don’t be sorry- be better.”  This in itself changes perspective.  Some would be motivated, and they would crush the next play.

If we constantly live in fear, we will not reach our dreams.  Instead of being scared, make a list of what you need to do to accomplish those dreams.  The hardest part is starting.  If you need help starting, talk to a friend- make it known that you want something else.  Once you start talking about it, you will be more excited about it and hopefully find motivation.  Instead of being scared and negative towards the change, this flips your thinking to positive.  You changed your perspective.

There are many more ways to change your perspective, according to this article.  Take a look and see what you think.  There are always options.  There is always time to get motivated.  There is time to get unstuck.  And there is time to make the leap.  Just change your perspective.

“If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

~Wayne Dyer
